Black is Gray: H.K. Edgerton

H. K. Edgerton is a former local NAACP president from Ashville, North Carolina who, in his own words, turned “a Black Confederate activist who works tirelessly to bring the real truth of our heritage to people of all races.” He has “walked thousands of miles carrying his large Confederate Battle Flag through cities and towns and down country roads. He speaks at venues all over the South exposing the many myths of Yankee history and setting the record straight” regarding the role of Blacks in the history of the South.

We’re proud to say that H. K. Edgerton is living proof of the truth that Black ain’t nothing but a darker shade of Confederate Gray. Thank you Sir, for bringing balance and factual diversity back to Southern heritage today.
